A gooey, golden dessert that’s way more delicious than a real sand trap.
After a long round in the heat, there’s nothing better than a sticky, chocolatey treat you don’t have to roast over a fire. These Sand Trap S’mores Bars deliver all the campfire nostalgia without the mess — and bonus: no sand in your snack.
They start with a buttery graham cracker crust, layered with melty chocolate chips and topped with perfectly toasted marshmallows. It’s the kind of dessert that sticks to your fingers and your memory — just like a bad bunker shot, only delicious.
Ingredients (Makes 16 bars)
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8″ pan with parchment paper or lightly grease. - Make the Crust:
In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form your golden base. - Layer the Good Stuff:
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. - Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and golden. - Add the Marshmallows:
Remove from oven and immediately top with mini marshmallows. Return to oven for 5–7 minutes until lightly toasted.
For that extra campfire vibe, broil for 1–2 minutes — but watch closely so they don’t burn! - Cool & Slice:
Let bars cool completely at room temp, then chill in the fridge for clean slicing. Cut into squares and serve.
Par 4 the Fam Pro Tip:
Dust the top with crushed graham crackers or drizzle with melted chocolate before serving for an extra “bunker sand” effect. These bars are sticky, sweet, and nearly impossible to escape after just one bite — just like a real sand trap, but a whole lot more fun.
