The Lean Drive Wrap: A clean, high-protein wrap built for the golf course, the gym, or the carpool lane

Let’s be honest—sometimes lunch looks more like a bite between holes or a quick grab before the kids pile in the car. That’s exactly why I created The Lean Drive Wrap—a high-protein, satisfying turkey wrap that’s equal parts energizing and effortless.

Whether you’re headed to the gym, the course, or just powering through a packed day, this wrap is lean, filling, and totally portable. It’s the kind of no-fuss meal that still feels like you made a smart choice—and tastes good cold straight out of the cooler.

Why Golfers (and Busy People) Love It

  • Packed with lean protein from turkey and optional hummus or Greek yogurt spread
  • Customizable – toss in greens, avocado, or whatever you’ve got
  • Great cold – no microwave needed, just roll and go
  • Fuels your round without making you feel sluggish on the back nine

Why It’s Called the “Lean Drive”

It’s a little nod to long drives (on the fairway and in the minivan). I wanted a name that reflects the fast-paced, always-moving rhythm of real life—where eating well still matters but time is tight. This wrap fits that perfectly: it’s smart, satisfying, and ready to ride.

How to Serve It

  • Wrap in foil or parchment for the golf cart or a packed lunch
  • Slice it in half and add a side of baby carrots or fruit for a full on-the-go meal
  • Meal prep 2–3 at a time to keep in the fridge for busy days

Ingredients (makes 2 wraps):

  • 2 whole wheat, spinach, or low-carb wraps
  • 6–8 slices of deli-style roasted turkey breast
  • 1/2 avocado, slices
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup hummus or Greek yogurt herb spread (see optional recipe below)
  • 1 handful of baby spinach or arugula
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: squeeze of lemon or drizzle of balsamic glaze

Optional Yogurt Herb Spread:

  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley
  • Pinch of garlic powder, salt, and pepper
    → Mix until smooth.

Instructions:

  1. Spread:
Lay the wraps flat and spread with hummus or yogurt herb spread.
  2. Layer:
Add a layer of spinach, then turkey slices, avocado, carrots, cucumber, and sprouts. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon if desired.
  3. Wrap:
Roll up tightly like a burrito. Slice in half on the diagonal.
  4. Serve:
Eat fresh, or wrap in parchment/foil for easy packing in your golf bag or cooler.

Final Bite

Whether you’re packing it for a morning tee time, a gym bag lunch, or just need something quick between errands, The Lean Drive Wrap is one of those recipes that works with your day—not against it. It’s proof that eating well doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming.

Fuel your body, feel good, and get back to what you love—whether that’s golf, family time, or a rare moment of quiet on the patio.
